Coconut oil or mayonnaise. This technique ends most lice, if not all, and gums the remaining ones up for easy removal. Completely saturate the hair with one of these substances. Then cover the head with a shower cap. After about 30 minutes, heat the shower cap with a hair dryer and allow it to sit for another 30 minutes. Work shampoo through the hair without water, then rinse well after another 30 minutes. Use a lice comb to remove dead pests.
