Symptoms before a seizure. Many patients who are accustomed to seizures can recognize the signs that one will happen soon. Physical pre-seizure symptoms include headaches, queasiness, small tremors in the extremities, dizziness, clumsiness and blurred or double vision. Some patients experience mental symptoms before a seizure. They may have a sudden, inexplicable feeling of anxiety or dread. Some have reported the sense that they are leaving their body, perhaps a sign of an oncoming lack of control.
