Diarrhea. As the body is trying to rid itself of the contamination, diarrhea is one of the main ways it attempts to do so. This makes diarrhea one of the most common symptoms of a bout of food poisoning. The downside is this can result in some dehydration, is uncomfortable and may not actually be of assistance if microbes or other contaminants in the stomach are already multiplying.
