The Causes, Symptoms and Treatment of Folliculitis

Symptoms. Symptoms of folliculitis can be seen and felt. Folliculitis appears as small, red bumps that are usually seen in a cluster-like pattern. These bumps may or may not have white, pus-filled heads. In more severe cases, blisters that ooze pus and often crust over can occur. Folliculitis can cause the skin to become red, itch, swell, burn, become very sensitive to touch, and feel painful. Mild fever can also occur.
